The small practical details of care shape how a person feels throughout the day. As a Licensed Assistant Nurse, you support the registered nurse and the agreed care plan, helping patients with appropriate daily activities and keeping the care environment organised.
This is attentive, team-based work. You need to know what has been delegated, what to observe and when to seek guidance. Consistent communication helps the nurse respond to changes while the patient experiences respectful, dependable support.

Support the person
Assist with personal care, positioning and mobility according to the care plan and your authorised scope. Explain what you are doing and give the person time, choice and privacy.
Observe and hand over
Notice changes in comfort or wellbeing and report them to the nurse. Complete the task record so colleagues can see what was done and what needs follow-up.
