Check the instructions for your tests.
Not every blood test requires the same preparation. Ask whether your selected tests need fasting, a particular collection time or another instruction, and confirm the details with the laboratory before the appointment.
Tell the clinical team about medicines, vitamins and supplements you take. Do not stop a medicine yourself to prepare for a test; ask the appropriate clinician what you should do. If you have not followed an instruction, tell the collector before the sample is taken.
Make the appointment information clear.
Confirm whose samples are being collected, which tests or package have been selected and whether more than one person is attending the same visit. Keep the booking details and any relevant request from your clinician available.
For home collection, check the address, building access and contact number. Choose a place where you can sit comfortably and speak with the collector. If you have a practical concern about the visit, raise it when the arrangement is made.
Choose the collection setting that works.
Intelligent Care’s diagnostic journey includes home collection across Dubai and a visit to Intel Lab in Deira. The choice should be reflected in the appointment details so that you know where the collection is taking place.
Collection fees are assessed for each visit. Any Care Package, or individual tests totalling AED 300 or more before discounts within that visit, waives the collection fee. The checkout summary shows the calculated amount for the chosen arrangement.
Know how the results come back.
Ask when results are expected for the selected tests and how you will receive them. Different investigations can have different reporting times, so use the information attached to the actual order.
When results are available, keep them with the clinical question that prompted the test. If you need help understanding what they mean for you, arrange the appropriate clinical conversation.
